I'm going to confer with my dad; one can't always depend on the memories of a child!Abe Lucashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13991534345391655980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-67288522629211042702009-02-11T22:02:00.000-06:002009-02-11T22:02:00.000-06:00Dexter - I'll bet those were an incredible sight a...Dexter - I'll bet those were an incredible sight at night. For that matter, very cool during the day! Definitely one of the most outlandish and fun facades of all time. Interesting on the SupeRx and Fotomat. I'm always half surprised to hear about another drug chain than Eckerd paired up with a Publix, but it obvously happened a lot.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07788722183424550052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-66750913246204613032009-02-11T09:55:00.000-06:002009-02-11T09:55:00.000-06:00Another Publix with that facade and built-in glowi...Another Publix with that facade and built-in glowing neon lights (what a sight after dark!) was the location in Broward County on Sunrise Blvd and Sunset Strip in the city of Sunrise. It was the first job I ever had. It was part of a strip mall and had a SupeRX next to it and a Photomat in the parking lot. The Publix closed in the mid-1990s, angering the senior citizens in the nearby condos. A discount grocery store filled the vacancy; I'm not sure if it's still there.Abe Lucashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13991534345391655980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-82907415239298680742007-07-31T10:41:00.000-05:002007-07-31T10:41:00.000-05:00Still is there, it would seem, or at least the bui...Still is there, it would seem, or at least the building is.
