Coming from Michigan, the area was sold to me as having the world's largest/busiest airport, AND the largest shopping mall under one roof. I'll never forget it.

Had to sell the parents' home a few years back. They had lived in that house for 50 years.

Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05991038415168489141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-46171129977902990702012-01-10T18:51:13.904-06:002012-01-10T18:51:13.904-06:00Lovely pictures, Dave and as always quite informat...Lovely pictures, Dave and as always quite informative post. Once again, I learn something new. I was around Randhurst last summer. Sad to see what's there now. Boring post modern blech in a 360 degree angle away from these exciting Christmas photos.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-26201539532277595122012-01-09T13:24:38.999-06:002012-01-09T13:24:38.999-06:00I worked at Randhurst Fair Store for years in high...I worked at Randhurst Fair Store for years in high school and college. The Fair Store was bought out by Wards during that time. I have a Wieboldt's gift box. Many good memories of Randhurst!rosebudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00690831549655192508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-41153323872610019912011-12-31T14:03:59.993-06:002011-12-31T14:03:59.993-06:00Mel – Thanks, and I hope that your holidays have b...Mel – Thanks, and I hope that your holidays have been great! There have to be some of those seals around, if only on an old box in someone’s attic. Kudos to you for trying to track them down - maybe some will turn up!

And I hope you have a great new year!

Eileen – It was all the rage when my family moved to MP in the mid-60’s. Glad you enjoyed the memories!Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07788722183424550052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-9810416762144517262011-12-24T02:26:55.710-06:002011-12-24T02:26:55.710-06:00I remember Randhurst well, indeed. One of our neighbors was awarded a $100 shopping spree for being the 10,000th(?) shopper and she was picked up in a limo to boot. As huge as it seemed to us back in the '60s, it's a dwarf compared to the mega malls of today.

Nice walk down memory lane!Eileenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16093995608789285195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033289293807518844.post-62131018046163739472011-12-22T09:55:29.328-06:002011-12-22T09:55:29.328-06:00What a wonderful post, Dave - and oh, wouldn't...What a wonderful post, Dave - and oh, wouldn't I LOVE to find one of those Randhurst seals as well!!!
