Love this! True holiday spirit!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I had no idea Woolworth's had such an extensive lamp department-- the only thing lacking was a leg lamp like the one in 'A Christmas Story.'
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours, Dave!
ReplyDelete(Man, do I miss Woolworth's!)
Merry Woolworth's!
ReplyDeleteThe song was originally written for the score of HERE'S LOVE, a musical adaptation of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a big hit, in large part due to poor timing...it opened in October 1963, therefore soon finding itself in the midst of a subdued Christmas spirit.
I haven't thought of paper drapes in years..
ReplyDeleteWoolworth's in its prime. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Dave. Look forward to more nostalgia from you throughout 2011!
Whoa! There's an escalator in there! Neat!
ReplyDeleteLove these colorful photos. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Dave!
